The Scar Project: Not Deep EnoughYou see the scars on her legs
Which she has cut so many times.

She tried and tried,
but couldn't cut them off.

If her little sister couldn't walk
then why should she be able to?

She cut and cut,
but not deep enough.

She couldn't cut them off
and her sister still can't walk.

You see the scars on her legs,
but she thinks she didn't try enough

Monster inside my headI have a monster in my head
and it wants to come out
You've fed it, it has grown
from your actions did it sprout

I try to hold it back
but it's so utterly mad
I can't hold it back
it's the worst I've had

Stronger and stronger
It breaks apart my walls
I can't hold it back
My final barrier falls

It fights, it kicks
it bites, now you fall
You've had it coming
for yet another call

You push me around
now you will get it back
run away if you can
it's your skull I'll crack

This monster inside
I will no longer hide
it has destroyed its cage
you will feel all my rage

The Scar Project: Trapped in ScarsYou don't see the scars in their minds.
of all the words they heard.

Some in the present, most in the past
From all those mouths they come fast.

Some received, some that gave,
but they are all a kind of slave.

Trapped inside their own mind
because of abuse of some kind.

Some gave, all they receive
for their own actions they grieve.

Most are now tough,
one, didn't try hard enough.

once againI have forgotten my name
I have forgotten my past
This beautiful woman was married to me?
I do not know

I have all forgotten
my job, my family, my wife
the shock has destroyed my recollections

she is crying
she is sad
sorry
I did not want

she remains with me
Despite this dramatic situation
this woman loves me

and me, I want to love her
once again

The Scar Project: Heavy BurdenYou see the scars which are her knees.
With which she fell upon the floor.

Her dad picked her up again
his body wanted more.

"Go make daddy happy."
her body beyond sore

Again she tried and tried and tried
and again she fell upon the floor.

When she couldn't do it
he hit her with the door.

She fell hard upon her knees
of the heavy burden she bore

Why does she still live?
Where is she doing it for?

You can see her scarred knees
but not those in her core.

The Scar Project: Pretty girl no moreYou see the scars all over her body
Flames raged, her body ablaze

"You're ugly", is all she heard
Even before her body burned.

This stupid nose, those sharp ears
freckles on her face, fire on her head.

Ginger hair down to her hips,
resting on a small waist

She was grand, she was pretty
but not inside here own mind.

She had the will, she had the fuel,
and the lighter to ignite

Now we see the scars on the outside,
but the deepest she still does hide.

The Scar Project: Can't you see?You see the scars of his eye
the knife took it away.

He saw the bully coming
when he looked in the mirror.

He didn't receive, only gave.
one hurtful comment after another

He didn't know when to stop
even when the bullied snapped

"I can't see the world as I should,
so neither will you do ever again!"

He took an eye for an eye
finally, he understood

For his eye it was to late,
the scars run deep inside.

I missI miss
the feeling of
your soft skin
against mine

I miss
the sore in
my paining heart
when you're away

I miss
the kiss
you gave me
every night

I miss
my love
always and ever
returned to me

I miss
you my love
as I stand here
before your fresh grave

Reality Verses The DreamReality Verses The Dream.

Above the confines of the earths atmosphere.

I am embraced by the luminous clouds.

With the stars in reaching distance.

Surrounded by the acoustics of the sea.

Accompanied by the alluring scents of nature.

Observing the planets that stand like monuments.

This is the place where my body wants to be.

These are the sights my eyes want to see.

This is place where my mind can be free.

This is the only place where I can truly be me.

Now back to reality.

And the self perpetuating insanity.

Constricted by the codes of a conscripted morality.

Living in a world that is drenched in disparity.

How will I ever be a

A Memory Unable to EraseThe cracks reaching to our
Hearts down the walls
The stains on the old hotel's bathroom floor
Won't ever allow me to let go

Love is so ambiguous isn't it?
Just one word you said so isolated
Like it was just us against the world
Which it always was and always will be

That was the only thing that was certain
The only thing alive and real
Yet you threw it all away
For merely a selfish feeling

Then all of the emotions spun out of control
So you left as quick as a light switch
Turning your life off without one word
Breaking your promise and now, so am I

I remember the last time you said,
"I love you."
It's like running from rain

The Super Hero DreamThe Super Hero Dream.

Since I was young I've always had this reoccurring dream.

As immature and juvenile at it may seem.

I'd have this one fantasy…

That me and my peers were apart of a heroic, super natural team.

We would serve and protect the world from impending doom.

But every morning I always end up waking up too soon.

I would stir and gaze around my marvel inspired room.

And attempt to…

Move objects with just will of my mind.

Completely alter my anatomical design.

Teleport in and out of realties and dimensions.

Communicate with anyone via a telepathic connection.

Have an invulnerable metal emerge from my knuckles.

Forever darkHave you ever set your eyes upon me?
Wondered who I am, behind what you see
What crossed all around my mind
Did you wonder what you would find.

Do you even know what I feel.
When I eat another lonely meal.
Not welcome in the normal group.
Because I'm of a different troop

I belong to another herd
Yes, I'm just a stupid nerd
The one you call hurtful names
While my soul goes up in flames

Every word leaves a mark
My thoughts turn forever dark

FreakRunning, running,
My legs can't take it anymore
Why must I run from you?

You're just like me
We're taught that
It's not what a person looks like
It's who they are inside
That is what matters

Who am I on the inside?
To deserve this
To have my classmate
Hunt me down
Like a dog to a stick

You call me a freak
Why is that?
Why am I a freak?
I don't hide who I am

While my eyes are black
Behind yours
I can see tears
Threatening to come

Calling me weak
Won't make you strong

Calling me a loser
Won't make you a winner

Calling me a freak
Won't make you normal

I can taste my own blood
Still fresh on my lips
Yet you have s

Not MeThey can wonder
But they will never know
All these emotions
That I never show

They don't know me
Like they say they do
One wrong move
And they will know the truth

I can't achieve higher than expected
Or they might get suspicious
I am ordinary, part of a cliché
Peer pressure made me this way

Caked in make-up, with a high pitch laugh
This is the person they see
This person is not me.

Behind this MaskYou smile at me
I smile back
But when you turn around
my smile starts to fade

Behind this pain
behind this mask
is someone that you never knew
a girl in pain

Behind this mask
is a girl in pain
No way to cope
but to cry her heart out

Faking the smile
but crying when alone
Behind this mask
Is the girl you will never know

and I will show I'm the better man

Another DayAnother day without you
Although I know, yes I do
That tomorrow hopefully again
I'll have you under my arm
Today however I live in pain
For my heart is no longer warm

This is a long a day
Without you, I again say
Want to be with you all the time
Embrace, kiss and touch you
To call you forever mine
That's what I want to do

But I have to wait
That is my faith
Just a few short hours
but they aren't for me
I want our love to flower
with you is where I want to be

Yet another dark thought
and this is what it brought
I long for you so much
It's a burden I have to bare
Until I can see and touch
and show you how much I care

Joys of hay feverMy head can't take it any more
It's full with so much
with thoughts the least
Oh, the joys of hay fever
Can't you just leave me?
This is too much pain

I can't think straight
I can't hear right
I can't smell a thing
I don't want this any more

Get out of me. GET OUT!
All this slime cropped up.
Please leave my body
This is just to much.
I have things to do
and that isn't you.

My minds flows over
with so much thoughts
but they are the last
of my worries now.

I beg you please
get out of me
I want to think
without you blocking
most of my mind.

Shattered brittle heartPieces of my heart
all over the floor
shattered, broken
it just couldn't
take it any more

Shattered, exploded
That is all that's left
of what once was
my whole and entire
heart, before the theft

You've stolen just
a piece so very little
But the hole grew
slowly and steadily
my heart turned brittle

I didn't knew before
that it had always been
brittle and empty inside
you've shown me beauty
I otherwise couldn't have seen

With you by my side
my heart has grown
outside it former shell
which was hard and brittle
love it had never known

My heart threw aside
its former brittle shell
Now it has grown
with love and more

Still dark in my mindIt haunts in my mind
I have to say something
but I don't know what
it possibly could be

I am happy now
my life has meaning
but there is a dark corner
in the back of my mind

Calling, whispering to me
I don't know what it says
I can't understand it no more
But I hear it calling

In the back of my mind
it's still dark inside
The light of your heart
hasn't come through yet

My deepest thoughts
which I can't hear myself
Call to me, something dark
I don't want to understand

I have been in the back
of my mind too long
I don't want to go there
but it calls, it whispers

You see the scars across his face.
A knife pulled across his cheek.

You see the scars all over her body.
Flames raged, her body ablaze.

You see the scars on his arm.
Where he slid over the tarmac.

You see the scars which are her knees.
With which she fell upon the floor.

You see the scars over his eye.
The knife took it away.

You see the scars on her legs.
Which she has cut so many times.

You don't see the scars in their minds.

I think you would fit in at the scar project, we are there to help each other. We are there to to listen to the story of your scars, the scars people can see and those inside your mind people can't see and ignore.
